FCI (Food Corporation of India) have just issued recruitment notification 2012 for a huge requirement of 3598 Assistant Grade III, 35 Assistant Grade II & 122Typist positions for its five zones.

This steep hike in number of recruits in FCI in the recent times suggests FCI is taking effort to bring in a change in its organizational structure, infusing young and technical blood in the organisation – hope you are aware of the criticism FCI had to go though because ofnews item like this, which caught everyone’s eye.

FCI Assistant Grade Salary:

Salary for Assistant Grade III positions: pay scale of Rs. 9300-22940.

Eligibilities for FCI :

Age eligibility for Assistant Grade III positions: Max.: 27 years as on 01.01.2012.

Age eligibility for Assistant Grade II positions: Max.: 28 years as on 01.01.2012.

Age eligibility for Typist positions: Max.: 25 years as on 01.01.2012.

Academic Qualification eligibility:

ASSISTANT GRADE III (General & Depot):

Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University with proficiency in use of computers.

Eligibility

ASSISTANT GRADE III (Accounts)

Bachelor of Commerce from a recognized University with proficiency in use of computers.

Eligibility for

ASSISTANT GRADE III (Technical):

(i) B.Sc. in Agriculture from a recognized University OR

B.Sc. with any of the following subjects from a recognized University: Botany/Zoology/Bio-Technology/Bio-Chemistry/Microbiology/Food Science OR

B.Tech./BE in Food Science/Food Science & Technology/Agricultural Engineering/Bio-Technology from a recognized University/an institution approved by AICTE.

(ii) Proficiency in use of Computers.

Eligibility for

ASSISTANT GRADE II:

(1) Degree of a recognized University with Hindi as the main subject.

(2) Proficiency in English.

(3) One year experience of translation from English to Hindi and vice-versa.

Desirable:-Post Graduate qualification in Hindi.

Eligibility for

Typist (Hindi) positions:

1. Graduation or equivalent.

2. 30 W.P.M speed in Hindi Typing.

3. Preference will be given to the candidates knowing by-lingual typing( English and Hindi) and Computer
