Vast career opportunities are available in Delhi Police at various levels. Some of the important recruitments are the following:

Recruitment of Constables (Male & Female) in Delhi Police is done by a Recruitment Board appointed by Commissioner of Police. Candidates from all parts of country are eligible for recruitment. The vacancies are notified in the concerned Employment Exchange of Delhi and Central Employment Exchange on all India Basis. Besides, vacancies are also advertised in News Papers/Rozgar Samachar inviting application for open competition. The applicants are required to appear for Physical Examination, Written Test.

Direct Recruitment to the Ministerial Cadre is made only in the rank of Head Constable (Ministerial) and of Stenographers in the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector. Competitive examination for this purpose is held for which candidates from open competition as well as from the department are eligible. Vacancies are also advertised in News Papers/Rozgar Samachars.

For Sub-Inspectors Delhi Police places advertisements from time to time.

For Assistant Commissioner of Police the entire process is conducted and carried out by the Union Public Service Commission and candidates are selected through Civil Services Examination.

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is revising its syllabus for the three stages of company secretaries’ course for the examinations to be held in December 2012.

The revision committees are bringing in changes, that will be implemented in the upcoming examinations.

This announcement was made by ICSI president Anil Murarka at a press meet on Tuesday.

“The changes in the syllabus of the foundation course have already been made. It will be implemented in the December 2012 examinations. The changes in syllabus of executive courses and professional courses are still being made, and would be implemented in December 2013,” announced Murarka.

The syllabus will now focus more on accountancy, mathematics, evaluation and global reporting initiative, the subjects that were not discussed in detail, explained Murarka.

The ICSI has also taken various initiatives towards growth and development of the members, students and the profession by undertaking extensive career orientation and professional development programmes, besides brand building, extensive research, re-organisation and infrastructure development.

The council of the institute conducted detailed deliberations and training sessions to formulate the goals for 2011-14. The council members are conscious of their responsibilities and are committed to provide best of the services in all spheres.

Murarka said, “Extensive efforts are being made to create awareness and about the profession, not only in India, but also abroad. The council has also decided to initiate the process of formulating International Secretarial Standards.”

The ICSI is propagating the cause of good corporate governance amongst corporate India. It has instituted the ‘ICSI National Award’ for excellence in corporate governance, and last year the organisation celebrated a decade of promoting excellence in corporate governance, he added.

Murarka said, “To globalise the profession, ICSI has approached the commerce ministry for inclusion of a new head of corporate governance and company secretarial services under the services sectoral classification list of the World Trade Organisation (WTO). The institute has also sought support from parallel institutes across the world. The responses received from parallel institutes abroad have been encouraging.”

Bihar Elementary Teacher Eligibility Test (BETET) 2011 is an eligibility test in the State of Bihar for the teachers. Bihar TET 2011 is conducted to test the eligibility of candidates for the teachers of classes 1 to 5 and 6 to 8.

BETET 2011 Notification:

Bihar Elementary Teacher Eligibility Test 2011 notification was made available through www.educationbihar.in online. You may download BETET 2011 notification visiting official to read the details of Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test 2011.

Bihar TET 2011 Eligibility Criteria:

For Classes I to V (Primary Teacher):

Candidates should have a degree of intermediate or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks to apply for Bihar TET 2011. They should have a degree of 2 years diploma in education or D.EId in education from a recognized board/university.

For Classes VI to VIII (Middle School Teacher):

Candidates should have a degree of graduation or its equivalent to apply for Bihar TET 2011. They should have bachelor degree with minimum 50% marks and 1 year B.Eid in Education.

BETET 2011 Qualifying Marks:

Candidates must secure 60% marks to qualify in BETET 2011. They can improve their BETET score attempting for other Bihar TET exam. However, Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test qualifying marks doesn’t give the guarantee of employment.

Bihar TET 2011 Certificate:

Bihar TET 2011 certificate will be issued to the qualified candidates in written exam.

Bihar TET 2011 Age Limit:

General Male and Female – 37 years
OBC/EBC Male and Female – 40 years
SC/ST Male and Female – 42 years

BETET 2011 Exam Centre:

BETET 2011 exam centre will be notified through the Bihar TET hall ticket 2011. The examination will be conducted in various districts of Bihar.

BETET 2011 Exam Pattern:

BETET 2011 exam pattern will comprise objective types of 150 questions of maximum 150 marks. Candidates will get 1 hour and 30 minutes to solve the questions. There is no negative marking in BETET exam pattern.

Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test 2011 Syllabus:

BETET syllabus 2011 will cover general awareness, current affairs, mathematics, English, social sciences, learning process and child development. BETET 2011 Exam Date:

BETET exam date 2011 is scheduled on 20th and 21st December, 2011. Bihar TET exam date 2011 for paper 1 is scheduled on 20th December, 2011 from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. Bihar Teacher exam date 2011 for paper 2 is scheduled on 21st December, 2011 from 1 PM to 2:30 PM.

These are the final BETET 2011 exam date after so many discussions and changes. Earlier, Bihar TET exam date was scheduled in the month of July. Later, it changed to October. Final exam date of BETET 2011 was to be scheduled on 3rd or 4th/15th or 16th December, 2011. Now finally, Bihar Teacher exam date 2011 is scheduled in December, 2011.

BETET 2011 Admit Card:

BETET 2011 Admit card will be made available for about 26 lakh applicants. Exam date already has been scheduled. Bihar TET Admit card 2011 will be made available 1 week before. Candidates will be able to collect Bihar Teacher Admit card 2011 from the centre where they had bought their application form.

More than 2 lakhs candidates will not be able to appear in Bihar Teacher exam 2011 due to wrong applications. Total 28 lakh applications had filled for Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test 2011. Details of rejected form and candidates will be updated through www.educationbihar.in.

Candidates will be able to collect their BETET hall ticket 2011 from 11 December, 2011. The committee has promised to distribute BETET call letter 2011 till 15th December, 2011.

There is no details about Bihar TET admit card download by online. You will not able to download BTET Admit card 2011 through www.educationbihar.in.

No candidates will be allowed to appear in written exam without BETET Admit card 2011. Details of Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test Admit card 2011 have been made available by local news paper till now.

BETET 2011 Results:

BETET results 2011 will be made available online through www.educationbihar.in. Candidates will be able to check Bihar TET results 2011 after written exam. BETET result 2011 will be made available through local news papers also.

Candidates will be able to know their marks details and marks status checking Bihar TET result 2011. Details of Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test result 2011 will be updated after written exam.

Candidates will be able to check BETET results 2011 by their name, roll number or registration number. They can collect their certificate after the announcement of BETET 2011 result.

3. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:
  1. NATIONALITY:
    Applicant should be a bonafide citizen of India.
  2. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND PROFESSIONAL ATTAINMENTS:
    (I) ASSTT. SUB-INSPECTOR (STENOGRAPHER)-ENGLISH/HINDI:-
    Should be graduate or equivalent from a recognized university at the time of filling up of application form.
    For ASI(Steno.)/English
    Speed in English Shorthand - 80 w.p.m.
    Speed in English Typing - 40 w.p.m.
    For ASI (Steno.)/Hindi
    Speed in Hindi Shorthand - 80 w.p.m.
    Speed in Hindi Typing - 30 w.p.m.
    PREFERENCE: Working knowledge of Accounts, Office Procedure and Drafting.

    (II) HEAD CONSTABLE (MINISTERIAL):-

    (i) 12th pass or equivalent from a recognized board at the time of filling up of application form.
    (ii) Speed in English Typing-30 w.p.m.
    OR
    Speed in Hindi Typing-25 w.p.m.

    (III) PREFERENCE:
    Working knowledge of Accounts and Office Procedure.
  3. AGE: 18 to 25 years as on 01.01.2010 i.e. those born not earlier than 02.01.1985 and not later than 01.01.1992 will be eligible. The upper age limit as prescribed above will be relaxable only in the following cases:-
    1. 28 years for OBC candidates. This relaxation is admissible for those castes notified in the Central List and the List issued by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi. No other certificate will be accepted as sufficient proof.
    2. 30 years for SC/ST candidates.
    3. 40, 43 and 45 years for Genl., OBC and SC/ST departmental candidates respectively. A “departmental candidate” means who has rendered a minimum 3 years regular and continuous service in Delhi Police.
    4. 35, 38 and 40 years for Genl., OBC and SC/ST candidates respectively for widows/ divorced women/ women judicially separated from their husband and who are not re-married.
    5. Upto a maximum of 5 years for sportsmen/sportswomen of distinction who have represented a state at the national level and the country at the international level in sports. The discipline of sports for which relaxation is permissible as per table given at Annexure 'A'. If a candidate belongs to SC/ST category and fulfills the above criteria, he/she is eligible for 5 years relaxation in upper age limit over and above the relaxation prescribed at Clause (ii). In effect, he/she qualifies for relaxation in the upper age limit to a maximum of 10 years.
    6. Age concession to Ex-Servicemen will be allowed in accordance with the orders issued by the government from time to time. They will be permitted to deduct the period served in the armed forces from their actual age and the resultant age, so derived, should not exceed the prescribed age limit by more than three years. It is further clarified that an “Ex-Serviceman” means a person, who has served in any rank whether as a combatant or non-combatant in Army, Navy or Air Force of the Indian Union and who retired from such service after earning his pension. Their Discharge Book should necessarily have the endorsement of "Ex-Serviceman".

4. STANDARD OF PHYSICAL MEASUREMENT
  1. HEIGHT:
    1. Male candidates: 165 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for:-
      (a) Residents of hill areas i.e. Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunanchal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J&K (Candidates claiming this relaxation would have to produce a certificate to this effect (Hill area certificate) from the competent authority i.e. DC/DM/SDM or Tehsildar of their place of residence at the time of Physical Measurement Test).
      (b) ST candidates.
    2. Female candidates: 157 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for:-
      (a) Residents of hill areas for which certificates as above (Hill area certificate) will be produced.
      (b) SC/ST Candidates.
  2. CHEST: (MALE CANDIDATES)
    Minimum 78 cms to 82 cms, relaxable by 5 cms for:-
    1. (a) Residents of hill areas for which certificates as above (Hill area certificate) will be produced.
    2. (b) ST Candidates.
Note:- For all candidates minimum expansion has to be 4 cms., failing which he will be disqualified.

5. MEDICAL STANDARD (MALE/FEMALE CANDIDATE)

The candidates should be of sound state of health, free from defect, deformity or disease. Both eyes should have a vision 6/12 with or without glasses. No relaxation is allowed to any category of candidates on this count.

Sub-Inspector (Stenographer) in Delhi Police-2010” or “Head Constable (Ministerial) in Delhi Police- 2010” link on the websites www.delhipolicerecruitment.nic.in desired application form will open, which the candidate needs to fill carefully on online.
  3. After filling the form, candidate needs to click on Preview button; a preview of the entire information filled in the application form will be displayed. Before clicking Save/Submit Application button, one can click on Modify Application button to go back to modify the filled application form information.
  4. Candidate needs to review it carefully because the information once submitted Clicked Save/Submit Application button) can't be altered at a later stage.
  5. If it is filled correctly then the candidate should click on Save/Submit Application button to complete the online applications submission and click on Print button to take out print (on 300 dpi Laser printer) of the filled Application Form on A4 size paper.

  • One can reach his "My Account" by entering his Name, Father's Name, Pin Code and DOB (using the drop down menu). This information must be exactly same as filled in his Application Form

    One can also login to his account by entering 'Registration No.' as User Name (UID) and Date of Birth as Password. Date of Birth must be same as provided in the earlier filled application form i.e. ddmmyyyy (without slash).

  • Admit Card for physical endurance & measurement test (PE&MT) will be available here which can be downloaded.
  • Any other correspondence related to the recruitment process viz. date of examination such as PE&MT, Written Test, Trade Test and their results and Call Letters will be facilitated in applicant's "My Account".
    Note: Under the Recruitment Scheme, no documents alongwith application form are required to be sent and the information given by the candidate will be presumed to be correct. To seek fee exemption of Rs. 100/-, the SC/ST and Ex- Servicemen candidates needs to attach an attested copy of caste certificate/discharge book respectively.

8. INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING UP THE APPLICATION FORM:
Note:

1. The application form should be filled up in English only.
2. The numbers given below refer to the serial numbers of the items in the application form.
3. Fill up the application form and tick the right choice by ball point pen only.
  1. Name of Applicant: The candidate should write his/her name in appropriate manner in the box.
  2. Father's Name: The candidate should write his/her Father's Name in the specified box.
  3. Husband's Name: The candidate should write her husband's Name (for married female candidates).
  4. Complete Mailing Address with Name: Candidate needs to write his/her name and complete postal address along with telephone number, mobile number and email address (if any). In case of offline applications, the candidate will have to neatly write the complete address (House No./Mohalla/street/locality/ colony, Post Office, Pin Code, District, State).
  5. Photo: Affix firmly a passport size (4cm x 5cm) coloured photograph (taken after 01-01-2010) in red background in the space provided. Candidates are requested to attach two Identical Photographs with application form.
    Important:-
    • The photograph should not be taken wearing a cap or goggles etc. (spectacles are allowed).
    • The name of the candidate in CAPITAL letters should be written on the body of the photograph much below the face, care should be taken that no writing is made on the face.
  6. Signature: The candidate must sign in full in the two spaces provided in the form. The candidate should sign strictly within the box provided for. Please ensure the signatures are made at column No. 6 and at the bottom of the application form.
  7. Category: Candidate should Tick (v) the right category to which he/she belongs.
    Example:- If candidate belongs to general category, the box against “General” category should be tick marked as (v).
  8. Other category: Candidate should tick (v) the right category to which he/she belongs.
    Example
    (i):- If candidate is “Widow” then tick (v) the box.
    (ii):- If candidate is applying as an “ex-serviceman”, then tick (v) the box and write the date of discharge.
    (iii):- If candidate is applying as a “departmental candidate”, then tick(v) the box and write the date of enlistment.
  9. Religion:- Candidate should tick (v) the right box.
    Example: - If candidate belongs to “Hindu”, the box against “Hindu” should be tick marked as (v).
  10. Sportsman/Sportswoman : Candidate should tick (v) either “Yes” or “No”.
  11. Educational Qualification: Candidate should tick (v) the right standard of education which he/she has passed.
    Example: - If candidate has passed Graduation, box against “Graduate” should be tick marked as (v).

The candidate must also write his/her name, date of birth and address at the back of Demand/Bank Draft/Banker's cheque drawn in favour DCP/Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Delhi which should be valid for 6 months otherwise application will be rejected.
  17. 17,18,19. The candidate must supply the information asked for at Sl. Nos. 17,18 & 19.
    Note:- If a criminal case is registered against the candidate and if he/she was arrested, detained, convicted, debarred etc. subsequent to the submission of form, relevant details regarding the same should be communicated by the candidate immediately to the DCP/ Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Kingsway Camp, Delhi, failing which it shall be deemed to be suppression of factual information which may lead to cancellation of candidature on a later stage.

10. CHECKING OF ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES/ DOCUMENTS:

All the original documents/certificates pertaining to age, education, caste, hill areas, NOC/discharge certificate (in case of Ex-Serviceman), sports certificate, proof to avail age relaxation as a widow/divorced/judicially separated woman, would be checked at the time of bio-metrics of all the candidates declared successful in PE&MT. The candidates will also be required to submit attested photo copies of all the documents/ certificates.

11. WRITTEN TEST:

All candidates, who qualify the physical endurance & measurement tests, shall be put through a written test. The written test will be of one and a half hour (1½ ) duration which will carry 100 marks. The question paper will be of objective type and will include questions on General Knowledge (25 marks), Arithmetic (25 marks), Reasoning (25 marks) and English (25 marks). The question paper of General Knowledge, Arithmetic and Reasoning will be bilingual (English and Hindi).

12. (A) SHORTHAND TEST, TYPING TEST ON COMPUTER/ TYPEWRITER AND COMPUTER TEST FOR ASI (STENOGRAPHER)

The candidates who come within the range of merit of written test equal to five (5) times the number of vacancies in each category i.e. General/OBC/SC/ST and Ex- serviceman (category-wise) shall be called to take the (i) Shorthand Test (ii) Typing Test on computer/typewriter and (iii) computer test.
SHORTHAND TEST:- The shorthand test shall carry maximum 25 marks. The dictation of English/Hindi Shorthand test will be of 05 minutes duration and the time allowed for transcription of Shorthand passage will be 45 minutes. 5% of the mistakes of the total test dictated are allowed. If the mistakes are more than 5%, he/she is considered having failed in the test. The marking shall be done on the basis of mistakes.
TYPING TEST:- The English/Hindi typing test will be of 10 minutes duration and the test shall carry maximum 25 marks. The candidates will be allotted marks according to speed achieved in the typing test.
COMPUTER TEST:- The computer test will be tested on word-processing software (MS-Word etc.) which will be of qualifying nature. The candidates will be given 10 minutes time to format the typed passage in the same way as it is in the supplied hand-out and to print the passage in the printer. Out of the 10 marks for the formatting 20 features carrying ½ marks each, the candidates should secure atleast 06 marks to qualify.

13. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Application forms will be rejected if they are :-
    1. Incomplete.
    2. Without Demand/Bank Draft /banker's cheque of Rs. 100/-.
    3. Received in duplicate.
    4. Without attested copy of caste certificate in case of SC/ST and discharge book in case of Ex-Servicemen for fee exemption.
    5. Without photograph.
    6. Application form not signed by the candidate.
  2. 10% vacancies are reserved for Ex-servicemen as per GOI's instructions.
  3. Candidates seeking relaxation in height and chest will have to produce relevant original documents at the time of physical measurement.
  4. Candidates belonging to OBC category of area other than Delhi shall have to produce OBC certificate on the prescribed format required for appointment to posts under the Govt. of India.
  5. If there is any variation in the interpretation of words/instructions, the English version will prevail and the decision of Police Headquarters will be final.
  6. Candidates already working with Govt. can apply after intimating to their Head of Office/ Department and need not send another copy through proper channel. An undertaking to this effect may be enclosed with the application form. They will have to provide N.O.C. from their department at the time of checking of documents.
  7. If ineligibility of a candidate is detected at any stage, his/her candidature will be cancelled without any prior notice.
  8. The candidate must be sure of his/her height, chest and educational qualification, which should conform to the minimum standards laid down.
  9. Any change in the schedule already announced would be displayed on the notice board of the DCP/Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Kingsway Camp, Delhi and on “Notice Board” available on the website www.delhipolice.nic.in.
  10. Candidate should mention his/her Roll No. on the application while making any correspondence with the DCP/Recruitment Cell. It should be addressed to the following: DCP/Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Kingsway Camp, Delhi- 110009.
  11. Candidates are advised to keep with themselves photocopies of application form, admit card and admission card (at the time of written examination) for ready reference.
  12. Medium of instruction in Police Training School is Hindi.
  13. All the candidates will be sent Admit card for PE&MT by post and Admission Card for the written test will be issued to the successful candidates immediately after the PE&MT at the ground itself.
  14. No TA/DA will be paid.

UPSC SCRA (Special Class Railway Apprentice) 2012 exam notification has come come out today in major newspapers as well as in Employment news. Major change this year in SCRA exam is that you can apply only ONLINE for this exam till 21st November, 2011. Date of written exam for SCRA 2012 is 29th January, 2012.

To begin that, at first a small synopsis to know about SCRA exam.

SCRA Exam – what is it?
Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) is a very prestigious examination, conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) on behalf of Indian Railways for a 4 year of apprenticeship. On successfully completing the same, SCRA are absorbed as a Class-1 officer in Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineering (IRSME). Many of them have gone on to become theChairman of the Railways.

It also happens to be one of the most competitive examinations in India – close to one lakh students apply for it and less than 100 are selected – ratio of selection in SCRA exam is less than 1:1000!

The 4-year training in Mechanical Engineering is conducted by IRIMEE (Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Jamalpur) and it follows a sandwich system of education mixing practical training at workshops with theoretical training at classroom. Education is free and the students are also paid a comfortable monthly stipend - Rs. 4000/- per month during the first two years, Rs. 4200/- per month during the 3rd year and first six months of 4th year and Rs. 4400/- for last six months of 4th year.

Date of Notification for SCRA-2012: 22.10.2012 (Saturday).
Last date for submission of SCRA-2012 application form: 21.11.2011.
Date of SCRA Exam, 2012: 29.01.2012 (Sunday).

SCRA Exam Eligibility:
What are the eligibility for appearing in the SCRA exam? Following tells you about it:

Age Eligibility:
You need to be Min. 17 years and Max. 21 years. For example, for SCRA-2012 exam, your age should be Min: 17 & Max: 21 years as on 01.01.2012. i.e. your DOB should not be earlier than 2nd January, 1991 and not later than 1st January, 1995.
Relaxations in age exists as per Govt. rule.

Academic Eligibility:
You need to have passed the Class-XII exam (Intermediate or Sr. Secondary examination under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent) in 1st or 2nd Division with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subject of the examination.
Candidates appearing at the 12th Class final or equivalent examination are also eligible to compete subject to certain conditions.

SCRA 2012 Application Forms:
As said in the beginning of this article, you can apply for SCRA exam only Online.
While you need to send your completed offline form to UPSC New Delhi to be received on or before the last date of application; you do not need to send printout (i.e. the hardcopy) of your Online form anywhere.

SCRA 2012 Admit Card:

CWE is conducted by IBPS to recruit Probationary Officer and Management Trainee on September 18, 2011. The recruitment was advertised in July 2011. IBPS Admit card download is made available at: http://ibpsregistration.sifyitest.com/ibpspopetaug11 entering registration number and date of birth or password.
