RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF PA, JIO-II/WT AND JIO-II/EDP- 2011
On-line applications are invited for the following posts in Intelligence Bureau (Ministry of Home Affairs), Government of India to be filled through direct recruitment from amongst the candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions as indicated below:-

The numbers of vacancies are provisional and liable to change. The posts are temporary but likely to continue indefinitely.
Age:
i. Between 18-27 years as on closing date of application for all post. Upper age limit is relaxable by five years for SC/ST and by three years for OBC candidates.
ii. For JIO-II/WT, the upper age limit is relaxable for Departmental candidates up to 40 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government.
iii. Similarly, for JIO-II/EDP, the upper age limits is relaxable for Government servants up to 35 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government.
iv. However, for Personal Assistant (PA) the upper age limit is relaxable for Government Servants up to 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government.
v. The age limit is also relaxable for Ex-Serviceman as well as residents of J&K in terms of government instructions issued from time to time.
Note: The age will be calculated on the basis of date of birth of the candidate mentioned in the Certificate of Matriculation examination issued by a recognised board. The candidates are therefore directed to fill in the same date of birth in the application form, as recorded in his/her Matriculation Certificates.
Service Liabilities: The post involves All India Transfer Liability. Therefore, the candidates selected are liable to serve anywhere in India .
How to Apply :-
i) Candidates willing to apply should submit their application through On-Line method clearly indicating the name of the post(s) applied for and the centre of examination from the table “A” given below:-

ii) Candidates can apply for any or more of the three posts provided he/she fulfils the prescribed eligibility conditions. There will be a common written test (objective type multiple choice) for the posts of JIO-II/WT, JIO-II/EDP and PA. The written examination (descriptive type) for the post of PA will be held separately in 2nd shift.. Depending upon the number of vacancies in these posts, the candidates, who are short listed on the basis of their performance in the written examination, would be called for skill test and practical test –cum- interview separately for each post.
iii) Application will not be accepted through any other mode.
iv) On submission and acceptance of application, the system will generate an Application Registration Number and it will appear on the Registration Slip generated on the system.
v) The candidates are required to take and retain the print out of this Registration Slip for all future reference and need not send the same to this office. Further, only first registration would be accepted and all subsequent registrations would be rejected. Therefore, candidates are advised not to register more than once.
vi) Candidates are required to possess a valid e-mail ID that is to be entered in the application form at the time of ON-LINE registration. The candidate must furnish his correct mobile number in the column provided in the application form to enable us to give SMS alert, if required, for downloading of the admit card for written examination and interview.
vii) Necessary informations regarding written examination, interview and downloading of admit cards will also be hosted on the website www.mha.nic.in.
viii) This office will not be responsible for bouncing of any e-mail or malfunctioning of the mobile phone number given by the candidate. Therefore, after closing date for receipt of application, the candidates are requested to visit the website for any update on commencement of downloading of the Admit Cards. The Admit Card would not be sent by post.
ix) The candidate has to fill in one of the Examination Centres out of 33 centres given in the table A above for the written examination in the application form for post of PA, JIO-II/WT and JIO-II/EDP.
x) The candidate must give correct choice for the centre of examination opted by him/her in the application form while doing registration. The examination centre once opted will not be changed under any circumstances.

SELECTION OF THE CANDIDATES: Those candidates who acquire a specific standard in the written test will be called for skill test/practical test-cum-interview subsequently for which place and date of skill test/interview will be intimated on-line through the website to the candidates.
Closing Date :30 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News. Therefore, On-Line registration will become active from the date of publication of the advertisement till 2400 hours of the closing date
General Instructions:
(i) Candidates must ensure before applying for the post that he/she is eligible in terms of age, educational qualification etc. as laid down in the advertisement. As no testimonials are called for at the registration stage, the admission to the written examination would be provisional for all the candidates. If the information furnished by the candidate while submitting application is found to be incorrect during conduct of C&A verification or at a later date, the candidate himself/herself will be solely responsible and his/her services are liable to be terminated at any time during his/her service.
(ii) Candidates are advised to furnish correct information regarding their age, educational qualification and caste/category (i.e. SC/ST/OBC) in the application form. If at any stage of recruitment it is found that the candidate does not possess the requisite qualification, age etc. for the post applied for, his/her candidature will be rejected. The candidate qualifying in the Objective Type Test would be required to produce relevant certificates in support of their eligibility for the post at the time of interview.
(iii) SC/ST/OBC candidates should fill up their respective category in the relevant Column of the application form carefully. It may be made clear that category once mentioned in the form shall not be changed under any circumstances and candidate will have to produce caste certificate in original in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority in support of his/her claim as and when it is asked for.

(iv)Candidates claiming benefit of OBC Category must ensure that they belong to OBC Category as per the notification meant for appointment to the posts under the Government of India (not as per the notification of State Government) and do not come under the creamy layer. The proforma of OBC Certificate and declaration undertaking meant for appointment in Government of India is given at Appendix-II and no other proforma will be accepted in any case. If any candidate qualifies in the written test he/she will have to produce the original OBC certificate at the time of skill test/interview. In case the candidate fails to submit the valid certificate from the Competent Authority, he/she will not be allowed to appear in the skill test/interview and his/her candidature for the post will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
(v) No TA or other expenses will be admissible to the candidates for appearing in the test/interview except to unemployed SC/ST candidates who will be reimbursed the fares as admissible under the Rules. No cash payment will be made at the time of test or interview.
(vi) Candidates will be required to produce the original certificates when called for skill test/interview.
(vii) Candidates already in Government service must obtain approval/permission before registration and submit ‘NOC’ from the employer at the time of skill test/interview.
(viii) Candidates who have appeared in Matriculation or Intermediate or ITI i.e. the minimum educational qualification required for the post,as the case may be or other equivalent examination and results of which has not been declared by the closing date need not apply.
(ix) Correspondence with reference to the admission to the test will not be entertained.
Note: Any change in category will not be entertained in future and the candidature of such candidate would be cancelled. Similarly no change in the center of examination, once opted, will be entertained in future.
