ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) Tuesday announced results of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Supplementary examination 2011 with 34.30 percentage of success.

As many as 8,269 students’ submitted applications for this examination, of which 7,961 student appeared. Out of whom 2,731 students were declared successful and 5,224 students remained unsuccessful to clear the examinations.

In Science group 1,894 students appeared of which 1,268 students were male and 626 females. Of them 584 students passed the examination with the passing percentage of 30.38 percent and 1,308 were declared fail.

In Humanities group 2,564 students appeared, in which 976 were male and 1,588 females students. Out of them, 625 students passed the examination with the passing percentage of 24.38 and 1,938 were declared fail.

In Pre-Medical group 659 students appeared, in which 211 were male and 448 females. Among them 347 students cleared the examination with 52.6 passing percentage and 312 were declared fail.

As many as 1,627 students appeared in Pre-Engineering group examination, in which, 1,362 students were males and 265 females. Of which 846 students passed the examination with the passing percentage of 52 and 781 were declared fail.

In other groups like commerce and Med Tech, 1,214 students appeared and 329 students passed the examination and 885 were declared fail.

According to FBISE, in the examinations six unfair means cases were reported and all the cases have been decided. A judicious procedure was adopted to decide the cases and there in every effort was made to ensure the personal hearing was allowed to all concerned.

The FBISE posted the results on its website, (www.fbise.edu.pk.) and students could learn about results by SMS in the format of FB< space> [roll number] to unified code of 5050.
